Dr. Seuss Birthday Party
You’re invited to our Dr. Seuss Birthday Party!
First, how did I become a mom of a six-year-old already?!
Isabelle’s favorite book for the past few months is Dr. Seuss’s Green Eggs and Ham. I asked if she would like to have a Dr. Seuss themed birthday party instead of Little Bear and she was jumping up and down with joy “YES!”.
I saw that our Party City had a whole bunch of Dr. Seuss items for his birthday, I knew I had to get the stuff now for her birthday in July (this was in March, talk about Planning!) A few days before the party I saw that Joann Fabrics had different Dr. Seuss fabrics perfect for decorating the food tables.
In March, Chef’s Table on Netflix came out with a season about pastry chefs and Isabelle wanted to watch it, she saw the cakes from Christina Tosi and fell in love! She loved seeing all the sweets and treats that Chef Tosi made and the minute she saw the birthday cake she said I want that as my birthday versus her previous choice red velvet.
I am so happy with how her cake came out and she loved it! “Mama my cake looks just like from Milk Bar!! Thank you!” I even posted it on Instagram and Christina Tosi sent me a message about it-I was totally geeking out.
I also decorated the mantel with her Dr. Seuss Books too (as you can see I also 4th of July decor going on too)
The food for her party was simple and fun complete with One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish, Lorax Cookies, Green Eggs and Ham, Cheese Burger Sliders, and Salad. To see how I made the Green Eggs and Ham, click here
For our drinks, I had Strawberry Lemonade (Pink Ink Drink) and Sangria.

My now six year old loved her party and we kept up her decorations for a few days. The following morning my folks flew up from Florida!
Happy birthday Isabelle, we love you!
