New Changes
It’s been a couple of months since I have written anything…
Yes, 2020 has been a year to remember, but aside from that there have been new changes happening to me.
In March, we had a local cookie artist and fellow MOPS mom come to our group and teach us how to cookie decorate. I was hooked! This also happened to be our last meeting.
During quarantine I began taking various cookie classes from different cookie artists online. I fell in love with this art even more! I began making cookies all the time. In May, I asked my husband if I could start a cookie business and he fully supported me making sure I wouldn’t take on too much. I also double-checked with my landlord and he was on board. I then started the paperwork to start my business and renewed my Food Manager’s Certification as it expired last year. By May 16th, I was approved by my city and I was in business!
I have been making friends, connecting, and networking with fellow cookie artists and mom bosses, virtually over the past couple of months. I am so happy doing this and my girls see this too! I can still be connected with the industry that I love in a new way! And as far business? Things have been going great!! God is good!
If you are interested in cookies and live local please check them out here. I can not ship cookies.
Outside of cookies-
I am still co-coordinating our MOPS group…God only knows how we are meeting as of right now day cares are opening up, schools, but not yet children’s ministry in churches.
I am still volunteering for MOPS International but now as a MOPS Community Coach. I love connecting with fellow MOPS leaders. This past Monday, I held an online meeting at night where we discussed meeting options, training, and just to encourage one another as it has been a hard couple of months.
Homeschooling. Yes, we are homeschooling and can you believe we are going on five years now?? Isabelle is now in 3rd grade and Gabriella is in Kindergarten. We are continuing with My Father’s World and adding in extra unit studies depending on the season and times of year.
Victor is doing well with work and he has been busy. He works so hard for our family. I’ll be writing a separate post about our vow renewal.
Amongst all the crazy, God has been present and He is here. Reflecting on the changes and additions occurring in my life I can see His hand through it all. I am so blessed and thankful to be home, to homeschool, to start a business, to connect with other moms, to connect with other Christians. In the midst of this crazy, take some time to reflect about what you are thankful and grateful for.
What has been new in your life?
