This is an Act of God!
You know the statement after anything bad happens, it is called an Act of God. But why? In the Bible, we see that everything that is Good comes from God. So why are there bad things? Why are there terrible storms that cause destruction? Why are there mass shootings? Why are there people killing each other just because they do not share the same faith?
Sin came into the world after Adam and Eve disobeyed God by eating the fruit from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. Think about that…the tree of Good and Evil. This fruit has the power of knowing both Good and Evil. Adam and Eve chose to outright disobey God after much deception from Satan, and this is how sin entered our world.
Look at Job- a man who loved God, he was rich, and had a wife and family. This seems like pretty much a dream, right? Satan wanted to test Job, to see if he would turn from God and God allowed it by saying just DO NOT HURT JOB. So Satan attacked everything else, Job’s wife and family died, and all the money he had was gone. Think about that–picture everything you had, all your family, and your spouse GONE, just like that! What would you do? Would you curse and turn away from God? Job didn’t turn away from God, he grew closer to God and praised Him, and God blessed him.
We live in a sinful world, and the acts of evil come with the territory. We tend to forget that this world is not our permanent home. This life here on earth is merely the dress rehearsal for eternity.
Do not focus on the negativity and become bitter, look at what happens after evil things occur. People come together to help one another. Strangers help one another.
If you see something that breaks your heart, do something about it if you can. Evil acts occur daily, even if they do not make the news, Instagram, or Facebook. One small act of kindness can change the world. Let Love be the Loudest Voice in this Sinful World.

I love that you said, “If you see something that breaks your heart, do something about it if you can.” We are here to help and encourage others. Showing God’s love by being present and aware of others who are in need is so important. I have often missed an opportunity to do something and later regretted it. Now I try to keep my eyes open.
Thanks for sharing this, Stacey. I love your statement: One small act of kindness can change the world. It’s easy to feel discouraged when such struggles strike, and this is a wonderful reminder.
Thank you
