Mango Turmeric Smoothie
A Mango Turmeric Smoothie perfect for summertime or anytime!
I had my first job when I was 14-years-old at a smoothie cafe in Florida. I was originally hired to be the banana girl (dress in a banana costume with a sign) to bring people into the cafe, but on my first day though I was trained to make smoothies, wraps, and sandwiches.
I remember the first time I had a mango smoothie from my first job at the smoothie cafe, I was not really into it. The smoothie was prepared with defrosted mango, nonfat milk, ice, and turbinado sugar. I don’t know maybe because I really had not had mango before the flavor was weird to me at the time. Moving to Florida from Michigan at the age of 11, I was still trying new foods from the tropics (hey I was 14 years old too).
Enjoy this Mango Turmeric Smoothie made with almond milk, Greek yogurt, honey, and Turmeric. Turmeric has the aroma of orange or ginger and contains anti-inflammatory properties. I love the color and depth of flavor that the turmeric adds to this smoothie.
