Strawberry Orange Banana Smoothie
THIS STRAWBERRY ORANGE BANANA SMOOTHIE WILL KEEP ANYONE COOL!
Oh my gosh!! It is so hot today! It’s currently 90°F, the fans are all on, windows are closed, and our window a/c unit is on. I don’t think I call this spring anymore, it’s summer! Summertime calls for smoothie recipes! Since my first job was at a smoothie place in Florida, I still remember all the recipes.
I was 14 years old and I was originally hired to dance on the side of US 1 (route 1 for all my New England friends) dressed in a banana costume. I was paid $5.15 an hour and it was great. However, my first day on the job they trained me in making smoothie, wraps, salads, and sandwiches. I was there for about a year and a half and worked my way from Banana Girl to Supervisor!
Now at the smoothie shop, we used turbinado sugar (aka sugar in the raw), vanilla extract, and honey with all of our smoothies. However, now I don’t use the sugar or vanilla, only the honey.
